Alongside software developers Skotkonung, over the last 9 months we have built, tested and rolled out our own delivery software platform across each of the Outspoken depots. Designed to cater for the range of services we offer, it allows full point to point tracking of all deliveries and couriers.
Deliveries are loaded either in bulk (for national carriers such as TNT/APC) or individually (local same day and national) via the portal. From here the jobs are tasked to individual couriers and then prioritised either by delivery window or location on the courier’s mobile device.
At office level we can see a detailed map of the days deliveries as well as comprehensive performance reporting aimed to improve efficiency.
As well as performance reporting the software also produces an easily downloadable excel/csv for convenient invoicing, which can now be done in minutes. Proof of delivery is available in real time and both individual and bulk delivery reports can be emailed to all customers.
More excitingly over the next 3 months we aim to complete stage two of the software development programme by rolling out a client log in portal. This will give customers direct access to book and track their own deliveries from their tablet or desktop and access real time proof of delivery information.
Our overall aim with both developments is to increase our own professionalism and efficiency and provide a more comprehensive service for our customers.
