Our Bicycles
By using bicycles for all our deliveries,we have the ability to react quickly and make our way through the city, quickly and efficiently.
The 8-Freights
Our original freight bikes are awesome machines; light, waterproof, secure, stable, rugged, quick and manoeuvrable....they are even mildly aerodynamic!
Capable of carrying up to 60kg (that’s 30 reams of paper!), yet very quick with just an urgent document on board, they are immensely adaptable. The 8-freights do the majority of our sameday work and with a long aluminium wheelbase they offer a smooth ride, enabling cakes and computers to be moved without concern. They are also thin — no wider than their handlebars — making good use of cycle routes to avoid traffic.
We are great proponents of this bike, designed by the infamous Mike Burrows, who was responsible for Chris Boardman’s track bike which he won gold with at the Barcelona Olympics.

Cycle Maximus
Cycle Maximus trikes are designed and built in Bath and widely seen as the best quality load carrying bikes ever made. We have had the cargo box section designed and made locally. These bikes never fail to turn heads are a joy to ride.
As far as bikes go, they are massive; more than 6 times the capacity of our 8-freights they are closer to a small van than any cargo bike. Yet the ride is smooth and it’s ideal as a solution to logistics companies for our City centre where access for ordinary motorised vehicles is an issue.
We use the maximus bikes almost exclusively in the city centre for last mile logistics and as a mobile depot for our other bikes.
- Cubic Capacity: 1.39m3
- Box dimension: 1210x1210x950 (mm)
- Max net weight: 250kg
Other bikes used
When speed is the most important factor or we need to travel further afield with small packages, we do make use of ordinary bikes.
For our London work, we use a brompton folding bike so we don’t upset the train guards.
